AT1 is moving to Juvenation.org

Hi AT1ers! I hope you're all having a great summer.  I'm writing to give you a heads up that our AT1 Ning page will be moving to Juvenation.org.  As you may remember, Ning started charging for use of its site last year and while we had a generous member cover the charge for the past year we have decided to take advantage of a cost-free alternative at this time. The current Ning site will expire next Wednesday, August 17th. A1C as a Predictor of Complications

Good morning, does anyone recall the name of the study that reviewed the A1C's of Type 1 diabetics and the onset of complications.  It was done sometime ago and I believe there was even a follow up study.  If anyone has a link to it or even the name, etc. I would appreciate it.  Specifically there was a great set of graphics that showed A1C's at different levels and the risk w/confidence percentage of when they would present for a patient.  Thanks in advance for any direction.

Medtronic Minimed Insulin Pump with CGM, Settings, Diet ?'s

 

Happy New Year!

 

I have been Type 1 for over 25 years. I have some basic and some not so basic questions I am hoping someone can answer. I have been wearing a Medtronic Minimed Paradigm insulin pump going on probably 4-5 years now. I just upgraded to the Continuos Glucose Monitor pump last year. I like it a lot, except when it is beeping at me in the middle of the night that my BG is up, down or time to test.(reason for some of my questions)  I love the trending…

What I've just realized

So I have been reading a lot of blogs lately of other diabetics and I have realized that I do not know nearly as much about my disease as I would like to. And that is sad with 15 years now under my belt. Also I have realized that I don't hang out with other diabetics enough or well at all.

Are there any Type 1 groups that meet up often?
